4。5 stars。 Really enjoyed the characters in this book- and seeing Molly gradually figure out who her true friends are。 Fun book to read!

Molly was probably one of the most interesting characters I've read about in a bit。 The only thing that threw me off was at some point during the second half her character seemed and acted a bit different。 Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this, I don't know。 Other than that I loved this!👍👍👍👍 Molly was probably one of the most interesting characters I've read about in a bit。 The only thing that threw me off was at some point during the second half her character seemed and acted a bit different。 Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this, I don't know。 Other than that I loved this!👍👍👍👍 。。。more

Nita Prose writes a superb debut novel。 Molly Gray, a maid at the exquisite Regency Grand Hotel, struggles with social interactions, but her job performance in returning guest rooms to a state of perfection is undeniable。 Molly, raised by her Gran, has simple rules to navigate life, but when her Gran dies Molly struggles with her emotional loss。 The Maid was slow to begin but keep reading。 It is filled with suspense, friendships, betrayal, and murder。 Nita Prose kept me engaged and topped it off Nita Prose writes a superb debut novel。 Molly Gray, a maid at the exquisite Regency Grand Hotel, struggles with social interactions, but her job performance in returning guest rooms to a state of perfection is undeniable。 Molly, raised by her Gran, has simple rules to navigate life, but when her Gran dies Molly struggles with her emotional loss。 The Maid was slow to begin but keep reading。 It is filled with suspense, friendships, betrayal, and murder。 Nita Prose kept me engaged and topped it off with an ending that warmed my heart。 。。。more

A really immersive book。 As someone who is socially daft, I could relate to this book a lot。 Worth the read for sure and was surprised by the plot twist。 But I will give it 4 out of 5 because the ending seemed a bit off to me。

I enjoyed reading this book。 Molly is a maid working at a high class hotel。 She is described by her co-workers as odd and standoffish。 A murder takes place in the building and Molly is the prime suspect。 Molly is easily duped by people who she thinks are her friends。 The author did a great job at describing the characters and bringing them to life, so much so that I wanted to help Molly and tell her to run away when she was being led on by the ‘bad egg’。 This was a light mystery and definitely w I enjoyed reading this book。 Molly is a maid working at a high class hotel。 She is described by her co-workers as odd and standoffish。 A murder takes place in the building and Molly is the prime suspect。 Molly is easily duped by people who she thinks are her friends。 The author did a great job at describing the characters and bringing them to life, so much so that I wanted to help Molly and tell her to run away when she was being led on by the ‘bad egg’。 This was a light mystery and definitely worth the read! 。。。more

3。5/5*¡Vaya adicción de libro! This was a very different take on a murder mystery but it was good。 It was slow to start so I almost DNF'd it but it was worth sticking through it。 There were some plot holes though。 This was a very different take on a murder mystery but it was good。 It was slow to start so I almost DNF'd it but it was worth sticking through it。 There were some plot holes though。 。。。more

I enjoyed how it all wound up at the end but something is off about this book。 I think it's how the author has written the characters。 Also hard to tell if she was joking at times, half the cast have colours for surnames Gray, Black, Snow, Green? It made it seem a bit ridiculous and I think it spoiled it a little。 I enjoyed how it all wound up at the end but something is off about this book。 I think it's how the author has written the characters。 Also hard to tell if she was joking at times, half the cast have colours for surnames Gray, Black, Snow, Green? A very good book to exemplify an unreliable narrator in a sense, but also to demonstrate the value of first person perspective。 At times it felt a bit slow, more in the first half, because you could tell it was the sort of book that would need to snowball。 A satisfying read, and an empowering depiction of a young woman with autism

3。8 for me。 Not bad but not that good。 It’s overhype tbh

Delightful!!! A little more than 4 stars for me! This was such an easy read and I do love a good whodunnit story。 I felt connected to Molly and other characters in the story which is a plus for me lately since I’ve read enough books where characters fell flat but not here! As odd as Molly seems I think everyone can relate to her in many ways - being bullied, being invisible, having a bit of ocd, socially awkward, etc。 and that’s what makes you understand and trust her。 You can’t help but smile w Delightful!!! Found this okay, enjoyed getting to know the character of Molly and seeing how she saw the world and how her life developed but found the storyline far too unbelieveable and cliched。 As another reviewer put it, I feel as though I read a different book to others。 It was a slog to read to the end。

I enjoyed reading this book。 Its about a young lady who works as a hotel maid at a posh hotel。 She is autistic (it's implied) and it's interesting to read how she sees the world through her eyes。 The main character loses the only family she has ever known so she is desperate to find friends and company。 There was a murder that happened at the hotel and the maid is involved since she was the one that found the dead person。 You get to see the day to day life she has, feel her loneliness and really I enjoyed reading this book。 Its about a young lady who works as a hotel maid at a posh hotel。 She is autistic (it's implied) and it's interesting to read how she sees the world through her eyes。 The main character loses the only family she has ever known so she is desperate to find friends and company。 There was a murder that happened at the hotel and the maid is involved since she was the one that found the dead person。 You get to see the day to day life she has, feel her loneliness and really get to know her。 The book has a few twists and kept me smiling and laughing quite a bit。 It has a good, solid ending which doesn't happen often, and an unexpected finale。 I would recommend this book, it's an easy read。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book has a weak storyline, I found it to be repetitive and boring。 I’m not sure if the main character was meant to be neurodivergent or just socially awkward but whichever it was it did not come across well。 This particular character trait made the simplest conversations difficult to read。 By difficult I mean I could not stop myself from cringing the entire time I read any and all interactions this woman had with anyone in the book。 To build up this character as someone who doesn’t understa This book has a weak storyline, I found it to be repetitive and boring。 I’m not sure if the main character was meant to be neurodivergent or just socially awkward but whichever it was it did not come across well。 This particular character trait made the simplest conversations difficult to read。 By difficult I mean I could not stop myself from cringing the entire time I read any and all interactions this woman had with anyone in the book。 To build up this character as someone who doesn’t understand people and then to throw in literally the last two pages of the book that she knew exactly what happened to Mr。 Black was just poor story line continuity。 I felt like the author wrote the end of the book first and then wrote the most boring story imaginable to place in front of it。 I did not buy this book, thank god, it was left in my house by my roommates tinder hookup and I wish she had taken the book with her, as it has not added any value to my brain or life。 。。。more

There are some books that are worth the hype, but this was one of them that just didn't do it for me。 I can't speak to the conversation happening in the reviews about whether Molly is neurodivergent or not, as a lot of reviewers more eloquently and knowledgeably explained their critiques of how this played a role in the book。 What I can say is that as an Asian woman, the characterization of the Mexican cook and the Asian maids felt so icky to me。 It felt like I was reading characterizations of n There are some books that are worth the hype, but this was one of them that just didn't do it for me。 I can't speak to the conversation happening in the reviews about whether Molly is neurodivergent or not, as a lot of reviewers more eloquently and knowledgeably explained their critiques of how this played a role in the book。 What I can say is that as an Asian woman, the characterization of the Mexican cook and the Asian maids felt so icky to me。 It felt like I was reading characterizations of non-white characters written thirty or forty years。 Dated and at times offensive。 。。。more
